In Perceptual: Sonic Landscape / Midnight Blink, Richard Garet transposed the neighborhood’s aural life into chromatic, visual landscapes. Removing all audio, Garet then left behind the moving image signal to create an experience of sound through vision that changed and pulsated according to the properties of the sonic composite. From April 6 to April 10, 2015 @TSqNews tweeted out a mystery sound file each day, that was captured in a specific location in the neighborhood. Participants guessed where the mystery sound had been taken or what the sound was, to win a free dinner in Times Square.
