What are the boundaries of Times Square?

The Times Square Alliance's district covers most of the territory from 40th Street to 53rd Street between 6th and 8th Avenues, as well as historic Restaurant Row (46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues). There are over 39 theaters showcasing the best that Broadway and Off-Broadway has to offer, over 200 international dining options, more than 62,000 seats at live entertainment venues and 40 hotels to stay in.

What sections of Times Square are pedestrianized?

Broadway between 42 and 47th Streets have been closed to vehicular traffic and opened to pedestrians as part of you are driving through Times Square you should drive south via 7th Avenue or north via 6th or 8th Avenues. If you travel south on Broadway you will be re-directed at 47th Street as you will not be able to continue on Broadway.  Cross street traffic is open at each block between these areas.
