What is this event about?
Times Square is the heart of New York City and we can't think of a better place to celebrate love and commitment. The Times Square Valentine’s Day Vow Renewal Ceremony allows committed couples to take part in a romantic declaration of love on the iconic red glass steps. The free event will be webcast live on TimesSquareNYC.org so all of your friends and family at home can share in this exciting event. It will also be broadcast on the American Eagle Times Square Digital Billboard in Times Square.
Why is this event taking place?
This is your chance to tell your significant other just how much you still love him/her as part of a romantic ceremony that will conjure up emotions from your wedding day or civil union.

Thursday, February 14th at 6:00pm
Where does the Renewal of the Vows take place?
Times Square between 46th and 47th Streets at Broadway and 7th Avenue on the iconic glass red steps
Will each couple renew their vows separately or as part of the group?
The renewal ceremony will be performed as a group, so you can join dozens of other couples to celebrate in the spirit and love in the heart of Times Square.
Will religion be a part of this event?
No. This is not a religious event.
Who will be officiating this event?
Captain Arnold will be officiating the ceremony. captain Arnold is an experienced officiant and a licensed US Coast Guard captain who brings energy and romance to couples around the world through his ceremonies. What is the cost to participate in this event?
This is a FREE event.
Do we have to register for this event?

The steps will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
When should we arrive?
We will begin to fill the steps at 5:30pm. Couples should arrive no later than 5:45pm.
How long will the ceremony take?
The ceremony will take approximately 15 minutes.
Is this a legally binding event?
No, this is simply an opportunity for you to reaffirm your love and commitment to your significant other.
Will we be able to share this experience with family and friends?
Yes. The event will be broadcast LIVE on TimesSquareNYC.org.
Do we need to bring anything with us?
All you need is to show up with your significant other and lots of love.
Is there a weather contingency plan for this event?
The event will take place rain, snow or shine. True love transcends all weather conditions. Dress warm!
Is there a warm place we can stay before the event?
You can stay warm in the Times Square Visitor Museum and Visitor Center. The Visitor Center is located across the street from the red steps on the east side of 7th Avenue. We will make an announcement at 5:45pm letting you know it is time to head to the steps.
Will restrooms be available at the event?
Yes. Facilities are located in the Times Square Museum and Visitor Center .
